In 1972, while American diplomat Mason Scarlett (Zunham) was hosting a party in Beirut, terrorists suddenly broke into the bloodbath venue and Mason's wife was killed on the spot. Ten years later, CIA's Sandy Ground appointed him to negotiate with terrorists to save his former friend Riley, who had been kidnapped.
During the negotiations, Mason found out that his adopted son, Carlin, was the leader of a terrorist organization. Carlin asked the other party to release his brother, Rafael, in exchange for Riley.
