Based on true events that took place in China. Cheng Yong is a poor, divorced man of no consequence who owns an Indian herbal oil shop. His life gets turned upside down when a man appears and grants him exclusive sales rights to "Gleevec", a generic Indian medicine used for treating chronic myeloid leukemia. Among his patients who can't afford the legitimate but expensive leukemia medicine, Yong becomes a "Medicine God".
