In 1989, a huge explosion on board of the USS Iowa, the historic World War II Battleship, occurs which costs the lives of 46 sailors. Knowing the cause of the accident, Captain Fred Moosally (James Caan, Misery, Alien Nation) fears he will be held responsible if the truth comes out as an official investigation is mounted. Evidence is destroyed, the crew intimidated in order to cover-up what the Captain and the Navy wants to hide. But one Lieutenant, Dan Meyer (Robert Sean Leonard, Dead Poet Society), will risk everything to fight for the truth.
